A new volume of Analecta OSBM (Notes of the Order of Saint Basil the Great) has been published by Missioner Publishing House. It contains the protocols of the Basilian General Chapters from 1642 to 1743. The editors and compilers are Fr. Porfirio Pidruchnyj, OSBM, and Fr. Bogdan Pietnoczko, OSBM.

In 2017, for the 400th anniversary of the organized Basilian Order, the first volume was published. It included the protocols of six General Chapters (1617-1636) with an appendix of the works and rules of Metropolitan Josyf Veliamyn Rutsky, on which the structure of the centralized Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat was established.

The new volume contains the General Chapters of the Congregation of the Holy Trinity from 1642 to 1743, with an appendix of two important chapters: the Lviv Chapter of 1739, at which the Congregation of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God was established, and the Dubno Chapter of 1743, at which the Basilians of that congregation united with the Congregation of the Holy Trinity into the Ruthenian Order of Saint Basil the Great.

In this volume, the protocols are published in Polish and Latin, and four of them (1726, 1736, 1739, and 1743) in Latin and Ukrainian. All Latin protocols are published for the first time. The protocols from 1713, 1717, 1719, and 1730 are also published in Polish for the first time.

The appendix includes the protocols of three unrecognized chapters (1665, 1683, and 1684), known as “anti-chapters,” since they were improperly convened or conducted. It also includes the Rules of Spiritual Governance for the monasteries of the Peremyshl Eparchy (1693) and the Articles or Monastic Rule of the Univ Chapter of 1711, in the then Ukrainian language and in Latin: Constitutiones Congregationis Unioviensis Anni 1711.
