Bishop Volodymyr Yushchak

Eparch of Wroclaw-Koszalin

He was born on July 19, 1957 in Legnica, Poland.

He graduated from elementary school in 1972 in the village of Rosokhata and in the same year began his studies at the Ukrainian Lyceum in Legnica.

On August 31, 1976, he entered the Basilian Order, with which he became acquainted while studying at elementary school. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the Warsaw Major Theological Seminary in 1983.

He took solemn monastic vows on May 1, 1983.

He was ordained to the priesthood on May 28, 1983, by Metropolitan Henryk Cardinal Gulbinowicz of Wroclaw.

After his ordination, he worked as a pastor in the parish founded in December 1982 by Fr. Julian Gbur in the parish in Bartoszyce and in the parish in Asuny (Olsztyn region), which had been in existence since 1957. In 1985, Fr. Volodymyr additionally took over the parish in the village of Ostre Bardo.

In 1984, he began his studies at the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw at the Faculty of Church Law, and in 1990 he received his licentiate degree.

Since 1989, he has served as a master of novitices and prefect of the Basilian student brothers.

In 1993, he was transferred to the Basilian Fathers’ Monastery in Węgorzów, while serving as parish priest and dean of the Olsztyn Deanery.

In 1994, he assumed the duties of the Provincial superior of the Basilian Province in Poland, while also serving as a parish priest in Warsaw.

On April 24, 1999, by the decision of the Holy Father John Paul II, he was appointed Bishop of the Eparchy of Wroclaw-Gdańsk of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Poland. His episcopal ordination took place on June 19, 1999, in Wroclaw. The main consecrator was Metropolitan Ivan Martyniak of Przemysl and Warsaw.

On November 25, 2020, on the day of the liturgical commemoration of the holy martyr Josaphat, Archbishop of Polotsk, the Apostolic See announced the approval by the Holy Father Pope of the decision of the Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church to reorganize the church structures of the UGCC in Poland. In particular, through the separation of territories from the two then existing church structures: the Archeparchy of Przemysl and Warsaw and the Archeparchy of Wroclaw and Gdańsk, a new church unit was formed, the Archeparchy of Olsztyn and Gdańsk, with Bishop Arkadii Trokhanovskyi immediately proclaimed the first ruling bishop. This led to a change in the name of the Wroclaw-Gdańsk Eparchy, which from now on was officially called the Wroclaw-Koszalin Eparchy of the UGCC. However, Bishop Volodymyr Yushchak remained its ruling bishop.


Bishop Dionisio Lachovicz

Bishop Emeritus

He was born on July 2, 1946, in Pombasa, Itaipolis district, St. Catherine State, Diocese of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba, Brazil. He received his secondary education and initial spiritual training at the Basilian Fathers’ Seminary in Ivai. He continued his preparation for the priesthood at Catholic universities in Rome and Brazil. He holds a licentiate in theology and a specialization in philosophy on the question of God. On March 30, 1970, he took solemn vows. On December 8, 1972, he was ordained a priest.

After that he performed varied pastoral work, was rector of the Seminary and Institute of Philosophy in Curitiba for 8 years, and taught philosophy and theology at several educational institutions in Brazil.

In 1991 he came to Ukraine to revive the philosophical and theological studies of the Basilian Order. In 1994, he became rector of the Basilian Institute in Zolochiv and a lecturer at the higher theological seminaries of Ukraine. From 1996 to 2004 he was a proto-archimandrite of the Order of St. Basil the Great, based in Rome.

He has published a number of books and publications on religious topics in Ukraine and two textbooks for seminarians.

On December 21, 2005, he was nominated Curial Bishop of the Major Archbishop of Kyiv and Halych. On February 26, 2006, he was ordained bishop in Prudentopolis in the Church of St. Josaphat. His Beatitude Lubomyr was the main consecrator, and His Eminence Bishop Stephen (Soroka), Metropolitan of Philadelphia, and His Eminence Bishop Ephraim (Kryvyi), Eparch of Curitiba, were the co-consecrators.

From April 2006 to December 2008, he was Curial Bishop of the Major Archbishop of the UGCC, head of the Patriarchal Administration, responsible for church communities in countries where there are no UGCC structures, head of the Department for Pastoral Care for Emigrants, and head of the senate of the UCU.

On January 7, 2009, he was named Apostolic Visitator for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Italy and Spain by the Holy Father Benedict XVI.   On June 9, 2016, in connection with the fact that Pope Francis created a separate Ordinariate for the faithful of the Eastern Catholic Churches living in Spain, who did not have their own hierarchy in this country, and the pope appointed the current Archbishop of Madrid, Mons. Carlos Osoro Sierra, Bishop Dionysius is the Apostolic Visitator for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Italy.

On July 11, 2019, he was nominated by His Holiness Pope Francis as the Delegate ad omnia of the newly established Apostolic Exarchate for Ukrainian Catholics of the Byzantine Rite living in Italy.

On October 24, 2020, he was appointed by His Holiness Pope Francis as Apostolic Exarch for Ukrainian Catholics of the Byzantine rite living in Italy.

On March 7, 2025, Pope Francis accepted Bishop Dionysius’ renunciation of his pastoral ministry, which he submitted upon reaching the age limit.


Bishop Lawrence Huculak

Metropolitan of Winnipeg, Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of Saskatoon

He was born on January 25, 1951 in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. He attended elementary and high school in Vernon, then St. Vladimir’s College of the Redemptorist Fathers in Roblin, Manitoba.

In 1969, he entered the Ukrainian Rite Basilian Fathers in Ottawa and completed his novitiate at St. Josaphat’s Monastery in Glen Cove, New York (1971-1972). He was ordained to the priesthood on August 28, 1977.

In 1974, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa and continued his theological studies at St. Anselm University in Rome. He studied liturgy at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome and in 1985 defended his doctoral thesis on the topic: “The Holy Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom in the Kyiv Metropolia during the time of unification with Rome (1596-1839)”   The thesis advisor was the famous Jesuit Fr. Robert Taft.  After publishing his work in 1990 in the series of publications of the Basilian Fathers “Zapysky OSBM,” Fr. Lawrence received a doctorate from the Pontifical Oriental Institute.

After living in Rome for eleven years, he returned to Canada in the spring of 1986 and was appointed pastor of the Ukrainian Catholic parish of Saints Peter and Paul in Mumdare, Alberta (1986-1996). In September 1996, he was appointed hegumen of the Monastery of Saints Peter and Paul Monastery in Mundare and master of novices. At the same time, he served as director of the Basilian Fathers Museum in Mundare. Since 1992, he has been teaching courses on the Byzantine Liturgy at the Theological College in Nyman (Edmonton).

Fr. Lawrence was ordained bishop on April 3, 1997, and enthroned as Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton and Alberta on April 6, 1997, at the Saint Josaphat’s Cathedral in Edmonton.

On January 9, 2006, the Vatican announced that His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI approved the decision of the Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and appointed Bishop Lawrence (Huculak), OSBM, Metropolitan of Winnipeg, Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Winnipeg (Canada). He was enthroned on February 11, 2006.

On April 28, 2022, in connection with the appointment of Bishop Brian Bayda to Toronto, Metropolitan Lawrence Huculak, OSBM, Archbishop of Winnipeg, was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of Saskatoon.


Bishop Iryney Bilyk

Canon of the Pontifical Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore

He was born on January 2, 1950, in the village of Kniazhpil, near Dobromyl, Lviv region, to Ivan Bilyk and Anna Krent.

In 1968 he entered the Physics Department of Lviv University and was expelled for refusing to become a Komsomol member.

In 1969, he entered the Faculty of Physics at Uzhhorod University, from which he was expelled in 1972 for belonging to the Basilian Order and for his ties to Bishop Theodore Romzha.

1972-1974 – he served in the army. After his service, he resumed his studies at the Faculty of Physics at Kyiv University, graduating in 1977. Officially, he worked as an engineer in the state workforce, but clandestinely, he studied theology.

In 1978, he took monastic vows and was ordained a priest by Bishop Sofron Dmyterko.

On August 15, 1989, he was ordained bishop clandestinely by Bishops Sofron Dmyterko, Ivan Semedii, and Ivan Margitych.

On August 15, 1989, he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy.

1990 – 1994 – He was rector of the Ivano-Frankivsk Theological and Catechetical Institute.

On May 24, 1994, he was appointed Protosyncellus of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy.

From the fall of 1994 to the summer of 1996, he studied theology in depth in Rome and defended his master’s thesis.

On November 19, 2000, he was enthroned as Eparch of the Buchach Eparchy.

On July 28, 2007, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI appointed Bishop Iryney Bilyk, OSBM, Canon of the Pontifical Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.

On June 9, 2015, Bishop Iryney was awarded the Diploma of Honorary Commander and the medal of the Jerusalem Order of the Holy Sepulcher for his educational mission among Italians.


Bishop Paul Patrick Chomnycky

Bishop of Stamford

He was born on May 19, 1954 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

He graduated from high school in Vancouver and studied at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business. He then worked as an accountant for several years.

On November 13, 1982, he entered the novitiate of the Basilian Order of St. Josaphat in Glencove (near New York City). He made his solemn vows on January 1, 1988 in Rome. He was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Jerome Chimy, OSBM, on October 1, 1988, at the Church of the Protection of the Mother of God in Vancouver.

He studied philosophy at the University of St. Anselm in Rome and theology at the Gregorian University in Rome, graduating with a Bachelor of Theology in 1990.

From 1990 to 1991, he was assistant pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Mundare, Alberta.

1991-1992, he was a parish priest of the Lamont district churches  Star Peno & Skcaro.

1992-1994, he was assistant pastor of St. Basil the Great Church in Edmonton.

1994-1999, he was a pastor of the Protection of the Mother of God parish in Vancouver.

1997-2000, he was the superior of Sts. Peter and Paul monastery and pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Mundare

2000-2002 – he was superior of the Monastery of St. Basil the Great in Edmonton.

2001-2002 – he was pastor of St. Basil’s Church in Edmonton.

On June 11, 2002, in the Church of St. Basil the Great in Edmonton, he was ordained a bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church with the title of the local episcopal see of Buffada and appointed Apostolic Exarch for Ukrainian Catholics in Great Britain.   The main consecrator was His Beatitude Lubomyr, the co-consecrators were Metropolitan Michael Bzdel and Bishop Lawrence Huculak.

On June 16, 2002, Bishop Paul Patrick was enthroned in the Exarchate in Great Britain.

On January 3, 2006, he was appointed Bishop of the Eparchy of Stamford (USA). He was enthroned on February 20, 2006. Bishop Paul succeeded Bishop Basil (Losten), who had been the Eparch of Stamford since December 7, 1977, and, according to can. 210 of the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, upon reaching a certain age, submitted his resignation to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.


Bishop Valdomiro Koubetch

Archbishop and Metropolitan of Curitiba

He was born on March 27, 1953, in the village of Mandaguazú (Paraná, Brazil).

In 1966-1970 he studied at the Minor Seminary of the Basilian Fathers in Prudentopolis (Paraná). On January 28, 1971, he entered the novitiate of the Basilian Fathers in Ivai. On February 11, 1973, he took temporary vows. From 1976 to 1978, he studied philosophy at the Basilian Training Center in Curitiba (Batel). On August 16, 1978, he took solemn vows at the Basilian Monastery. From 1978 to 1981 he studied theology at the Pontifical College of St. Anselm in Rome. On April 12, 1981, he was ordained a deacon in Rome (St. Archbishop Myroslav Marusyn). On December 6, 1981, he was ordained to the priesthood (by Bishop Ephraim Kryvyi).

Pastoral and educational activities:

1982-1983 – employee of the parish of Ivai;

1983-1988 – assistant pastor in Prudentopolis; teacher and spiritual director at the Minor Seminary in Prudentopolis;

1989-1990 – lecturer at the eparchial seminary;

1990-1991 – pastor in Sao Paolo;

1991-1996 – Director of the eparchial Apostleship of Prayer, lecturer at the eparchial seminary, and since 1992 – Head of the Basilian Training Center in Curitiba; since 1993 – lecturer in theology at the Catholic Theological Institute in Curitiba;

1993 – he received a license in moral theology from the University of Sao Paulo;

1996-2000 – assistant pastor in Ponta Grossa, consultor in the provincial curia of the Basilian Fathers;

Since 2000, working in parishes in Antonio Olinto, Campina, Santos Andrade, Mico Magro and Sao Joao.   In 2000, he received a doctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical University in Rio de Janeiro.

On December 10, 2003, His Holiness Pope John Paul II appointed Bishop Valdomiro Koubetch (OSBP) as Coadjutor of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba, Brazil.

On March 21, 2004, he was ordained a bishop in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba. His Beatitude Lubomyr Cardinal Husar, Head of the UGCC, was the main consecrator.

On December 13, 2006, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI appointed Bishop Valdomiro as the Eparch of Curitiba. His enthronement took place on February 7, 2007, in the Cathedral Church of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba.

On May 12, 2014, the Eparchy of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba was elevated to the dignity of a Metropolitan Archdiocese, retaining the same name, and Bishop Valdomiro was nominated as its first Metropolitan Archbishop.

On July 15, 2014, on the feast of Prince Volodymyr, Equal to the Apostles, Archbishop and Metropolitan Valdomiro was enthroned at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba by His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, during his pastoral visit to Brazil.


Bishop Meron Mazur

Bishop of Prudentopolis

He was born on February 5, 1962 in Prudentopolis, Paraná, Brazil. He graduated from the Minor Seminary of the Basilian Fathers in Prudentopolis, after which he entered the Basilian Order on February 7, 1979. On February 10, 1981, after completing his novitiate, he took his first vows in the Order.

He completed his schooling and university philosophical studies at St. Basil’s Seminary in Bastel (Curitiba). In 1986, he was sent to Rome to study at the Pontifical College of St. Anselm, where he received a bachelor’s degree in theology in 1989 and a master’s degree in theology in 1992 at the Salesian Institute (Salesianum).

On January 1, 1988, he took solemn vows in Rome and was ordained a priest in Prudentopolis (by  Bishop Ephrem Krevey, OSBM).   Father Meron performed various pastoral assignments and held the post of professor, superior and rector at the Basilian Institutes in Prudentopolis and Curitiba. He was also the superior of the Main Seminary of St. Basil. In July 2004, Fr. Meron was appointed Provincial Superior of the Basilian Fathers in Brazil.

On December 21, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI named Father Meron Mazur Auxiliary Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba, Brazil, and titular Bishop of Simitta. On February 26, 2006, he was ordained bishop in Prudentopolis in the Church of St. Josaphat. His Beatitude Lubomyr was the main consecrator, and the co-consecrators were His Eminence Bishop Stephen (Soroka), Metropolitan of Philadelphia, and His Excellency Bishop Ephrem (Krevey), Eparch of Curitiba.    On May 12, 2014, the new Eparchy of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Prudentopolis was established as part of the Metropolia of St. John the Baptist in Curitiba, and Bishop Meron was nominated as its first eparchial Bishop.   On July 13, 2014, Bishop Myron was enthroned as Bishop of the Eparchy of the Immaculate Conception in Prudentopolis by His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, during his pastoral visit to Brazil.


Bishop Dmytro Hryhorak

Bishop of Buchach

Dmytro was born on January 1, 1956, in Ivano-Frankivsk to Dmytro and Anna Prypkhan. In 1963-1973 he completed his secondary education in Ivano-Frankivsk. In 1973, he entered the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Oil and Gas, graduating in 1978 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as a design engineer at various plants in Ivano-Frankivsk.

On October 14, 1989, he officially entered the order of St. Basil the Great. On January 7, 1990, he was vested in the monastery church in Zolochiv. The first “legal” novitiate was held in Hoshiv and Krekhiv in 1990-1991.   From 1991 to 1996, he studied at the Basilian seminary and graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk Theological and Catechetical Institute.

He was ordained a deacon on September 21, 1992, and a priest on October 25 of the same year (by Bishop Sofron Dmyterko).    From 1992 to 1998, he served in the monastery and in the parish of Christ the King in Ivano-Frankivsk. He acted as treasurer and confessor of the Myrrh-Bearing Sisters, and was the superior of the Basilian monastery in the village of Pohonya, Tysmynets district. He served as a chaplain in the Ivano-Frankivsk prison and was a confessor of a youth prayer group. He was also sent to Volyn for missionary work, serving parishes in Volodymyr-Volynsk, Lutsk, and other places.  Later he was appointed superior of the monastery and pastor of St. Basil the Great Church in Lutsk. He began construction of a complex of monastery and church buildings.   On July 28, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Fr. Dmytro Apostolic Administrator of the Buchach Eparchy. 

On July 23, 2011, it was announced that His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI gave his consent to the canonical election of the Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, which decided to appoint Fr. Dmytro as Eparch of Buchach.   The episcopal ordination took place on September 18, 2011, at the Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Chortkiv, Ternopil Oblast. His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, performed the rite of ordination. Bishop Vasyl (Semeniuk), Bishop of the Ternopil-Zboriv Eparchy, and Bishop Sofron (Mudry), Bishop Emeritus of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy, were co-consecrators.


Bishop Vasyl Tuchapets

Exarch of Kharkiv

He was born on September 29, 1967, in Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast, to Vasyl Tuchapets and Kateryna Datsko, he was given the name Volodymyr at birth.   He studied at Yavoriv High School (1974-1982), Ivano-Frankivsk Vocational School-14 (1982-1986), and graduated from the preparatory department and the first year of study at the Faculty of Architecture of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute (1988-1990).

On November 10, 1986, he entered the Basilian Order in the then underground Province of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine.  In 1986-1988 he served in the Soviet Army.  On March 12, 1989, he took the monastic habit in the Basilian Order and the monastic name Vasyl. He continued his novitiate in August 1990 at the Hoshiv Monastery, and later at the Krekhiv Monastery under the direction of Fr. Teodozjusz Jankow.  He made his first temporary monastic vows on October 6, 1991, in Krekhiv, and solemnvows on December 29 in Zhovkva.   In 1991-1997, he studied at the Pontifical Theological Faculty (St. John the Baptist Section) in Warsaw, graduating with a master’s degree in theology. In 1998, at the same faculty, he defended his licentiate thesis in patrology on “Gregory Palamas’ Teaching on Continuous Prayer.” He also studied at the spiritual formation courses in Krakow with the Salvatorian Fathers (2001-2002).

He was ordained to the diaconate on January 5, 1997, in Ivano-Frankivsk by Bishop Sofron Dmyterko, OSBM. On July 12, 1997, he was ordained priest by the same bishop at the Cathedral in Ivano-Frankivsk.   He served as superior and pastor in Zolochiv (1998-2000), superior and pastor in Krekhiv (2000-2002), and pastor in Zhovkva (2002-2005). He was a teacher of spirituality at the Basilian Institute of Philosophical and Theological Studies in Zolochiv (1998-2000) and at the Kharkiv College of the UAOC (2006-2009). In 2005-2014, he was superior of St. Basil the Great Monastery in Kyiv. He also served as the monastery’s treasurer, assistant pastor, and retreat master. In 2012-2014 he was the Provincial Vicar of the Province of the Basilian Fathers of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine. 

On April 2, 2014, the new Kharkiv Exarchate of the UGCC was formed as a result of the division of the former Donetsk-Kharkiv Exarchate, which was subordinate to the Major Archbishop of Kyiv-Halych. Bishop Vasyl was appointed the first Exarch of this Exarchate, receiving the title of Bishop Centuriones.  His episcopal ordination took place on May 21, 2014, at the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Kyiv. The main consecrator was the head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, and the co-consecrators were Bishops Vasyl Medvit and Stepan Meniok.

On June 1, 2014, Bishop Vasyl was enthroned as Exarch of Kharkiv by His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC, in the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kharkiv.


Bishop Abel Sochka

Bishop of Nyiregyhaza

Born on September 21, 1972, in Vynohradiv, Zakarpattia region, Ukraine, to Antal Sochka and Ella Oros, he was given the name Antal at birth.   He studied at the elementary school in Bratovo village (1978-1982), secondary school in Dyakovo (Nevetlenfolu) in Transcarpathia (1982-1989), where he received a complete secondary education.

On September 14, 1995, he entered the Basilian Order in the Province of St. Stephen in Hungary.  On January 30, 1996, he took the monastic habit of the Basilian Order and the monastic name Abel, and after completing his novitiate, he took his first temporary monastic vows on January 30, 1997. He took solemn vows on July 20, 2001 in Mariapocs.   In 1996-1998 he studied philosophy, and in 1998-2001 he studied theology at the Sapientia Theological College for Monastic Orders in Budapest.

He was ordained a deacon on September 23, and a presbyter on September 30, 2001, in Nyiregyhaza by Bishop Silárd Keresztes, Bishop of Hajdudorog.   He served as an assistant pastor in Kiszpest (Budapest) (2001-2002) and as superior in Mariapocs (2002-2004).  In 2004-2008, he was Protoconsultor, Treasurer and Secretary of the Province and pastor in Kiszpest.   In 2008-2012, he was the provincial superior of the Province in Hungary and the pastor in Mariapocs.  In 2012-2013, he served in the Apostolic Exarchate of Miskolc as the treasurer of the Exarchate.  In 2013-2014, he served in the monastery in Mariapocs, was a pastor in Kantorianos and an assistant spiritual director at the seminary in Nyiregyhaza.  On September 8, 2014, he was appointed Protosyncellus in the Apostolic Exarchate of Miskolc.   In 2014 and early 2015, he served in a monastery in Matawan, New Jersey, USA. Upon returning, he continued his ministry as Protosyncellus in the Diocese of Miskolc, as on March 20, 2015, the Apostolic Exarchate of Miskolc was proclaimed an eparchy that became part of the then established Metropolia of Hajdudorog.   On October 31, 2015, he was nominated Apostolic Administrator during the vacancy of the throne of the Eparchy of Nyiregyhaza for Catholics of the Byzantine rite, not as a bishop, but with the right to participate in the Bishop’s Council.  On December 12, 2015, the nomination decree was proclaimed in the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Nyiregyhaza and he was inaugurated as the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Nyiregyhaza.   On February 10, 2016, Fr. Avel Sochka was elected Provincial Superior of the Province of St. Stephen in Hungary at the Chapter of the Province of St. Stephen in Hungary.

On April 7, 2018, he was nominated Eparchial Bishop of the Eparchy of Nyiregyhaza.

On the same day, Bishop Abel was enthroned as Bishop of the Eparchy of Nyiregyhaza.
